Happy Wednesday Mr and Mrs Poets
This week I have the absolute pleasure of celebrating the poetry of our wonderful Miki +Miss Poet Miki. Miki is a superbly talented lady, her writes are always skillfully crafted with amazing pictures to further accentuate her words. The poem I have chosen to share tonight, wonderfully explores the concept of self and who we are. Thank you Miki, for blessing our screens with amazing poetry and more importantly with your very presence :) Well done.
Me myself and I
You can't copy
nor clone me
there is me there’s I
then myself comes by
we're all happy now!
To foresee my move
would be checkmate -
tap my foot
here on the floor
...et voilĂ !!
a side split galore
rises right up
to my hip 'n more
makes heads spin round
even those with none!
You could ask who is me
and what my wishes be
you'd never get it right
cos it's all inside out
and round 'n about
goodness me
what a fright!
Alas! not even a bullet
as fast as a cricket
could bring peace of mind
to this illusory creature
who wished to please
everyone on her knees
and in the end you see
she lost her love her glory
and even me!

I love this section of this post, it is a great opportunity for me/us to highlight those people who have caught our eye over the week. This week, I want to mention those poets who inspire us consistently, who bless our poetic minds time after time. So much talent, so much soul, so much spirit in their writing, in their support to their peers, in their encouragement of others...
