Poet of the week!! May 10th 2018
Oh wow guys this week we are celebrating the amazing +Miss Poet Miki I feel certain that just about everyone has had the pleasure of Miki's beautiful comments, presence, encouragement and support, a truly beautiful soul, she is also a bloody amazing poet. She can manoeuvre between forms and structures, swimming between imagery, metaphors and simile and equally creates amazing depth in each of her piece....well done Miki, you are an asset to our community.

What is love
if not surreal essence
immaterial
In a carnal world
the heart is only for breathing
there is no place for loving
We don't live by ideals
but of rational deals
You are a talker
You are a worker
...or you're a fish out of water!!!

+John Duffy John, is a crazily talented writer, able to explore so many topics with great depth and imagination, John is truly able to craft some amazing poetry, as well as being a wonderful source of encouragement to many, well done John
Shout outs to the old and the new!
Shout out time! This is to allow us to pause and pay respect to those poets taking poetry outside of the box, driving creativity into new arenas, and equally, those poets that stand proud within the poetic roots that have created the very foundations we write from today.
Micro-fiction
This week has been a busy one with this category being used by the wonderful +Miss Poet Miki if you've not had the chance to check out Miki's micro fiction yet, then I would highly recommend you grab a cuppa put up your feet and take a read. The wonderful +karen hines has also blessed us with some amazing writing this week, as has the delightfully talented +Wendy - Empathic Tigress and our very own +Jennifer Salinas is filling our screens with short extracts from a story of hers! Well done guys!

Criteria for Poet of the Week Selection:
1. The poet has not been poet of the week recently.
2. The poet has written a great and original poem.
3. The poet spends some time reading and commenting to encourage and support other members.
4. Mastery of the the language in which the poet writes is also important, although we should make some allowances in terms of spelling/grammar for people using English as a second language.
