POETS The Original Poet of the week 25/04/18

I'm excited this week to celebrate a new poet in our community, +Sagar Datta Majumdar his writing has super impressed me, fantastic imagery, rich vivid diction, insightful lines and a lovey rapport as he weaves through the community leaving comments and plus's. I mean guys, seriously check out the beauty of this poem...

When I can see her

- Delhi'18.

I am not drunk anymore ,
But I can't see her.
Have you seen her ?
And you ?
She's a girl in her twenties,
She has a smile worth remembering.
She has this voice worth listening ,
And this face worth
A portrait in your drawing room.
She laughs a lot when
She's with her friends
But she's this sad when alone.
She had heartbreaks but still
She's a sweetheart.
She decides to not drink when
With strangers ,
But ends up drunk on
Her favorite cocktail in
An unknown bar.
She has this habit of sleeping
A little bit more on weekdays,
She still remembers her first date ,
And first heart break,
But she claims she doesn't.
She has this little flaws ,
But she is confident enough
To let a shiver run down
Your jaws.
She is scared ,she is timid ,
Yet she is furious and sharp.
And she also loves flowers,
But she has rejected dozen
Of boys
With roses in their hands ,intentions not worthy
In their eyes and fire not
Bright enough in their vibes .
She write poems about
Women empowerment
And raises slogans in rallies ,
But she cries a lot
When spoken harsh,
She is hard as a nut ,
Yet soft in her
Core.
You can know that
She's the one ,
If she smiles at the child ,
And hugs the street dogs ,
And is seen with a balloon
Tugged in her hand.
You can also know that
She's the one ,
If she dresses like a rebel
But never misses the prayers,
If she attends high end parties
But her soul is stuck
In the tunes of that country song ,
Where the sunsets a bit late
And the Aurora fills
Up the mind of the
Poor communist girl
With the dream of
Revolution.
She's the one with
Dreams to touch the heaven
And kiss the sea bed ,
But she has been strangulating
Her dreams while they're asleep ,
To take up her roles
As a mother , as a sister ,
A daughter and a lover since ages.
She's very restless ,very much
But she's the one
Who can spend a night
Looking at you while
You sleep
With her favourite song behind.
You know she's the one ,
If she makes you run
Short of breath
In the bed but
Doesn't let you kiss her
In the road.
She's the one who can
Walk a thousand miles
With you , with your hands
Around her shoulders.
She's the one who sits
On the windows at midnight
And fill with long
Philosophical entries ,
Her diary.
She's just like any other girl ,
But I can assure ,
You won't get anyone
Like her again.
I'm drunk now ,but
I can't see her now as well.
If you can see her ,
In the busy streets ,
With a pen , or a cigarette ,
Or a lover 's hand
In her hand , then do tell her
That I've left a napkin ,or a paper ,
Or a book ,
Or a novel for her
Under her pillow.
But the poem that I've written
For her
Is still with me ,
Within me ,
I'll sing it to her ,
Only when I can see her.
