POET OF THE WEEK OCTOBER 25TH 2017
This week we are celebrating the poetry of the wonderful +Ellen Waters a beautiful poet, her writing is diverse, fierce and powerful. Her presence within the community is highly valued among both the POETS team and our members. Well done Ellen, you and your poetry are very deserving of this recognition.
Is it raining where you are
are you cold and hungry
are you hurt
and selfishly
do you miss me
will you always love me
are you mad I can't be with you
angry that you are alone
I want to take care of you
to make sure you are never alone again
never cold or hungry
never scared or tired
I will feed you, bathe you, hold you
I will do this woman's work
I will soothe your troubled mind
I will kiss your tears and hold your hand in the dark
I will protect you from the storm.
