Ghostly Visit

As the wind blows through the trees
I can smell a faint hint of your perfume
And a million memories come flooding back
I close my eyes and I can almost feel your presence
I swear I can almost hear your voice say my name
And my heart feels all the love you had for me
And for that one moment in time
I forget that you're no longer here
The pain is washed away from my soul
As the sun heats down on my face
I believe in my heart that it is you
Coming to visit me for a little while
Giving me a sense of peace and of love
The love that only you could give me
Your heart was one of a kind as was your love
You made me feel like no one else ever could
But sadly just as quickly as the scent came, it left
Leaving me alone once again on my deck
A single tear slowly trickled down my face
I miss you with all my heart and soul
But for one brief moment in time
You and I were together again
I just wish
I could keep you here forever
