The flowers purple hue
Danced lightly on the breeze.
Their rhythm timeless as the tide
Swaying low beneath my knees.
As I gaze across the valley wide
Shades of green came into view.
The richness of the valley floor
Reminded us of things we often knew.
The gifts unfolded before us
Are ours to enjoy and use.
But ensuring we pass them on
Challenges us all to not abuse.
Spring rushes up to embrace us
With the wonders of diverse life.
Its blooms renew the fertile seed
Carrying forth the tune of nature's fife.
Their song resonates upon the wing
Announcing the wonders of the day.
So walk my friend on the village green
And know the brilliance of their way.

Special mentions go to:
+Poeta de las hojas
+Dianne Woodin
+John Duffy
+Salkis Re
for their poetry and support of POETS. Thank you everyone!

"Can you imagine if a rose had a brain? Would a rose know it's purpose? Would a rose allow poison to saturate it's soil? Would a rose hang around weeds that impede on it's growth? Meaning if something you partake in isn't good for your core, why engage? You have a choice young blessing....Blossom."
"This is a collection of assorted poetry and random thoughts that just happen to rhyme. Each line reflects my growth and maturation. Each word is like a seed planted that I hope will touch the soul of the reader. The world is a dark place but good spirits provide light amidst the darkness. These words are from the mind of a young black male seeking to awaken others from slumber."
