Poet of the week

Poet of the week 81 goes to our amazing Jasmine :) +Jasmine ツ for her first sonnet, Autumn Sadness. A truly beautiful piece on love, written through the ever changing shades of Autumn. Well done Jasmine, so very deserving, a brilliant poet and a true asset to this community.

Autumn Sadness (Jasmine's first sonnet!)

The gloomy autumn is here once again
It scatters melancholic hues in air
The dying leaves fall, rustle, cry in pain
My heart fills with solitude and despair

Strong gusty winds all, blow in their full spree
Green canvas is no longer around
Like the leaves fly away from its tree
You left me alone stuck to the ground

I miss you at the touch of every dawn
For once, my soul desires to feel your shade
Though the colors of nature may be gone
The memories of you will never fade

And I close my eyes to strive and survive
Because in my dreams you are still alive
