Poet of the week 83 goes to the brilliantly talented +alh777 Andrea's poem explores hope and fresh starts in a naturalistic style. Her presence within the community is hugely felt, she is an amazing poet and moderator, always offering support and encouragement to all of her peers.
MY HEART beats and I know I am alive and wonderfully made
I no longer bleed beads of love for you, my beloved it
I no longer care for your cares and the places once sought.
I laugh heartily at how I was in awe of you and wonder what fuel it.
Your greasy smile, pimp-like ways, and being nickel slick when I have your penny change, no longer intrigue me
I break the chains of old obsession and dare not let a half of tear fall from my beautiful face for you one more fort night.
YOU no longer impressed me and I am free of you like a pesty fly buzzing around finally dead from the sound of my large flyswatter.
