Poet of the week

Poet of the Week no. 61 goes to +Yatta Fleet for his untitled poem "Look into my eyes and see the desert's song . . ." an expression of a boy's grief and pain caused by his absent father, and for his support of POETS and members.

Look into my eyes and see the desert's song,
anticipate the long-awaited rain that never came and quenched my growing thirst for my father's love.... he was too busy chasing lust to see the pain he was causing his son..... too blind to see the storm rising up like the desert's torrid air, how could he not notice my stoic demeanor and cold stare!

Didn't have to be this way, I shouldn't be in this mindstate, you should've had more love for me, you should've cared!

Sad song in my heart still growing from the day I was old enough to wonder why my father was willfully always gone.... kinda sad, kinda mad, ghetto child thinking he's been had...... cried so many nights that my heart was bare while the other kids breathe easily outside my polluted air!

YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN THERE!

I don't know how to love you, where do I begin?

How can I begin when this pain won't end!
