Poet of the week

Week 72, Poet of the week goes to the extremely talented +Poet Desh for his poem, The Sky Looked At Me and his continuous support of the POETS community and our wonderful members.

Poet Desh has crafted a marvelous poem that explores the spiritual aspect of humanity and of finding one's self. Superbly done Poet Desh this is a true slice of poetry.

The Sky Looked At Me...

Frustrated with the search which led nowhere,
I closed all the doors around me,
But the routine affairs kept on knocking,
And the insistant air of worldly attractions
Tried to steal in through minute cracks.
Frustrated, I started to skin myself,
Like a peacock sheds all its feathers
To understand the meaning of such burden.
Suddenly, I don't know how, the inner door
Started to open, and the light within made
My skin once again as it was at my birth,
And the sky looked at me with motherly eyes.
