POET OF THE WEEK

Our poet of the week this week is the wonderfully creative +Alaina Jane the piece that I have chosen to celebrate is a short and serene piece written earlier in the week. The words echo the serenity of the water and the reader is invited to explore with her the beauty of eternal peace. Well done Alaina :)

Water flowing,
Sounds of peace!
Present and growing,
Will it cease?
Hoping not,
This is how we live.
To be here on this lot,
My place to give!
Stay with me,
For all eternity!
All for the,
I give serenity!

Special mention
This week, I want to mention those poets who inspire us consistently, who bless our poetic minds time after time. So much talent, so much soul, so much spirit in their writing, in their support to their peers, in their encouragement of others...
First up is the delightful Mr +gutter punk who has been keeping our mod pick category busy this week! Matt is such a deserving special mention, his encouragement and support is valued here in POETS as his original and indepth comments on his fellow poets work, thank you Matt.
+Ellen Waters such a talented writer, she places little fragments of her soul into her poetry giving it an essence of beauty, Ellen is very much a valued and loved member of POETS and we always look forward to reading more of her poetry, thank you Ellen
+Wendy - Empathic Tigress I am always impressed by Wendy's poetry, she writes the poems many are too scared to write yet she handles them with such delicate care, offering a beacon of light to those that understand the poems purpose. Thank you Wendy
+Ulf Wolf Mr Ulf, is a multi talented poet and this truly does add depth to his shares. He always takes the time to answer comments in an indepth manner that shows value to his readers as well as simply being an extremely talented Mr, thank you Mr Ulf
Shout outs to the old and the new!
Shout out time! This is to allow us to pause and pay respect to those poets taking poetry outside of the box, driving creativity into new arenas, and equally, those poets that stand proud within the poetic roots that have created the very foundations we write from today...

+Charlotte Anne Anderson shout out to this wonderful lady and superb poet, such a delight to her you reading your poem Charlotte and I look forward to seeing more of you and your work :) +Skylark Hatee it is always an absolute delight to hear Skylark reading one of her poems, her presentation is always amazing, and her articulation, her tone, her voice...everything, it really brings the poem to life! +Jennifer Salinas your poems are always so amazing to hear, your voice is beautiful and this medium truly does add depth to your poetry. Shout out to our Mr +Arthur Turfa always a delight to have you with us Arthur :)
Mr +Ulf Wolf has also been blessing us this week with spoken word which is always a pleasure to hear and also the very talented +Nick Hawkins.
+John Duffy has also been sharing snippets of his up coming project guys which is well worth checking out.

Criteria for Poet of the Week Selection:
1. The poet has written a great and original poem.
2. The poet spends some time reading and commenting to encourage and support other members.
3. Mastery of the the language in which the poet writes is also important, although we should make some allowances in terms of spelling/grammar for people using English as a second language.
