Happy happy happy Thursday everyone!
Spring has finally arrived and this past week it has been so wonderful to see so many spring themed poems. This week we are celebrating the wonderful +Rasma Raisters a constant source of encouragement and support within the community, her poetry is always such a beautiful source of delight to read. Well done Rasma :)
Dandelion Memories
Summers spent running barefoot,
golden dandelions caressing our feet.
The sun made them,
like spun gold,
magical dandelions
and a summer full of love.
I was the queen of the meadow,
a dandelion crown upon my head.
You as the King,
reigned over the meadow,
where the dandelions and wild flowers grew.
Among them we’d picnic,
drinking dandelion wine
and always feeling so very fine.
We’d dance in the rain,
waiting along with the flowers,
for the sun to bring on the rainbow.
All the dandelions,
have become but a memory,
now we’re blowing,
dandelion wisps upon the breeze,
so that once a new summer comes round –
we’ll be playing in golden dandelion fields once more.
