Happy Wednesday POETS!
I am so pleased this week to be celebrating a truly great poet, +gutter punk .
Hugely talented Matt brings the page alive with his imagery, diction and strong conviction within his words. An amazing source of both encouragement and support his presence is very much appreciated and valued here within POET. Well done .
The Nothing
I'm the voice of depression that the lonely seek comfort
I am the heavy heart, never to be held again
I'm the void, where loneliness speaks; yet I am___________
untouched, the silence of which you sit
I'm the white noise
That everyone wishes to forget
A bench if you will, a door matt
Where they wipe their feet
to sit and lament...
