This week I have the absolute honour of celebrating the brilliantly talented +Wendy - Empathic Tigress not only is Wendy a skillful writer but she is also amazingly supportive of her fellow writers offering encouragement and energy to all those that she interacts with.
THE SHADOW GAME
The shadow game must be played
Lest their secrets are betrayed
Where the crises avoid the crosses
While the lackeys rip off their bosses
In the world of Tigers and Kings
Linger tidings of future things
Prepare your wayward hearts for a war
Like no blood battle that’s gone before
Hide your children among the graves
Lest they become the dark one’s slaves
In the world of Tigers and Kings
This is the grief our future brings
When the blasphemers bend a knee
The rapture will surely set us free
Disbelievers will lay in wicked thoughts
In their evil deeds, they’ll be well caught
In the world of Tigers and Kings
Puppets will cut their master’s strings
“Tigers will roar when the angels sing
To greet their genuine heavenly King”...

Shout outs to the old and the new!
Shout out time! This is to allow us to pause and pay respect to those poets taking poetry outside of the box, driving creativity into new arenas, and equally, those poets that stand proud within the poetic roots that have created the very foundations we write from today...
Micro fiction
This week we give a shout out to +The Truth and +Dasis Leudagar using the micro fiction category, using prose is such a great way to expand your poetic ability, it allows for more details and the exercising of devices such as imagery, language,flow and fluidity.

A shout out to our wonderful girl Jasmine who has been working hard at sharing poets birthdays weekly, she gathers their information and poetry, and does such a wonderful job of it, thank you Jasmine. +Jasmine Thank you goes out also to +Sotir Georgievski +Alaina Jane +gutter punk +Learnodo Newtonic and +CESAR DAVID RINCON GODOY for sharing with us some amazing famous poetry this week

Collaboration
Collaborations allow two or more poets to explore a theme through different voices, this is such a great way to gain experience as well as interact with other poets. This week our first shout out goes to +Mohd Latiff Rahmat
(From a 13 - Year old Melissa + Daddy Latiff) there is no better person in this world to collaborate with than your own child ♥
A shout out also goes to the wonderful +Cima Tempestosa and +Cherry A as well done guys :)
Spoken word
It was an absolute delight this week to hear +M. S. Harvey hearing a poem spoken adds such a different level of depth, it gives the poem personality and life, it was a delight to experience your poetry in spoken word Michael
This week we have also had the delight of Mr +Ulf Wolf as always an enjoyable experience to sit back with a cuppa and become lost for the moment
Mr +Charlie Ricketts-Johnson has also been blessing us with his amazing talents as has the very skilled Mr +dalesahlberg

This week we had a great opportunity to check out Mr +Ferrick Gray whom blessed us with some amazing poetry!

Criteria for Poet of the Week Selection:
1. The poet has written a great and original poem.
2. The poet spends some time reading and commenting to encourage and support other members.
3. Mastery of the the language in which the poet writes is also important, although we should make some allowances in terms of spelling/grammar for people using English as a second language.
