Poet of the week

Poet of the Week 42 goes to +Laughing waters for her selection of tanka, and for her dedication to POETS and support of the members. Laughing Waters has been hard at work studying the arts of haiku and tanka for some time and it is looking good!

Few moody tanka

spiny turtle
atop the river rock
sunning out
watching the leaves
swimming by my clothes

single snowflake
landing in my footprint
shivers in light breeze
moonlight shadows
my late night show

midnight sky
blooming with
meteor showers
falling around me
clusters of snow

white freshness
of the morning air
so brisk and crisp
your bath robe
against my bare skin

starry night
snow chirping
under my steps
this old house stairs
singing a happy tune

raven's feathers
with the blue undertones
shining in the moonlight
chrysanthemum petals
you sprinkle all over me

dark streets
winter's blackout
nothing but darkness
I can see when blinking
you still near the edge

frost on the window
slowly melting away
all that flowers
your fingers drew
my name in the snow
