Poet of the week

Poet of the week no. 57 goes to +Kaleidoscope for her poem "My Dear Boss" - a woman's view of a boss' wandering hands, so eloquently expressed, and for her support of POETS and members. Link to original poem:

My Dear Boss

Fond memories
brim over,
as I reminisce
my first day
here.
Fresh;
wide-eyed;
beaver-eager.

Sir,
you were
an inspiration.
All around
tales
of your charm;
your confidence;
your down-to-earthedness.

Sir,
the graze of
your palms
on mine
an accident,
I am sure.
Your misguided
“Woohoo Sexy dress”
comment
an act of
friendly overture.

Sir,
amidst the loud
exclamations
of your
grandeur;
the walls,
they whisper.
Of acts behind
closed blinds;
Of blackmails;
Hmph!
sordid fiction, I say.

Sir,
were you led off-path
by my
“creamy white”
(your description)
skin?
So entranced
by the shape
of my lips
“color of peach”
was it?
Never met
anyone as
beautiful as me
is it not, sir?

Well,
professionalism
shmofessionalism!
What can a
full-blooded
man with eyes
do?
A twitchy nerve
was it sir?
Or dick
in the place
of brains?

I take my leave,
Sir.
Nothing remains
here for me
aside from
a whisper
with my name on it.

Awaiting another mentor.
A charmer
as you, of course!
But, well
a tad
more
“self-control"?
If you don’t mind
my saying so,
Sir.

It Is You Searching For You: When Life Collapses and Pain Moves You to Start a New Journey Kindle Edition by +ilda dashi ( +Ilda Writer )

https://www.amazon.com/You-Searching-Collapses-Moves-Journey-ebook/dp/B06XR34BWP

"When you feel a lingering kind of pain challenging you in your most vulnerable moments, know that it is you searching for yourself. Like all quests, the search for yourself brings about pain. But along with pain, there will be illuminating discoveries, like realizing that a part of you is missing your own love, care, and acceptance. When there’s pain inside, know that it reflects the pieces of your puzzle that you have denied or condemned: fragments from your past that you never accepted because of fear. But there is no need to fear pain because pain is not some abstract concept that is foreign to you. Instead, it is closer to you than anything else. So why not use pain as your compass instead of running away from it? Trust it. Embrace the process. Allow life to guide you from within now. That’s your new start. That’s the journey of your searching for you. Come with me and I’ll show you."
