Poet of the Week no 31 goes to +Time Traveler , for his poem A New Dawn, and for his wonderful support for POETS and members.
A New Dawn
Inertly seated in the forested campus adjoining home
Withdrawing gradually from silence of the mind
Yet entrenched in quietude of hours spent alone
No whisper, action or thought to leave behind
Surrounded by songs & chirps from blissful birds
Dark horizon turning blue in a magical way
Echoes looming from early morning walker droids
Contemplating on reality, no notions to betray
Sun-skimmed rays penetrating sky’s bluish tinge
Palette of faint yellow glimmering everywhere
On leaves, trees, even chimerical walls on a hinge
Compartments created in delusionary psyche when unaware
Glazed eyelids, blurred sight, trance lightening
Cross legged on greens, staring into infinite sky above
Merger of Absolute & Relative temporarily ending
Stillness of night & being, unto dawn to love
Raucous, egregious shrieks from automobile horns
Brightness all around, humanity’s ubiquitous sounds
New day begun, time to head home newborn
And translate realization into creative action
This is a new dawn

Yanty's Butterfly: Haiku Nook: An Anthology Paperback, hardcover, and Kindle, edited by +Jacob Salzer
Some of POETS members' great haiku are published in Yanty's Butterfly.
Yanty's Butterfly is an international haiku anthology dedicated to Yanty Tjiam (1981-2015), and her family. Yanty was a haiku poet who passed away in 2015. She was a beloved member of our Haiku Nook community on Google+. In honor of Yanty, 20 poets from Canada, the U.K., Germany, Persia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, South Africa, Taiwan, the Philippines, and the U.S. have come together to create this anthology. In the spirit of Yanty Tjiam, and global connectedness, our anthology embodies a transformative power all its own. Yanty's Butterfly consists of over 600 poems, spanning the variety of haiku forms: three-line haiku, two-line haiku, one-line haiku, four-line haiku, traditional haiku (5-7-5), concrete haiku, tanka, and haibun. Featuring haiku from Yanty Tjiam, George Klacsanzky, Fei Zhan, and award-winning poet, Alan Summers, Yanty's Butterfly is an essential addition to the haiku literature of the 21st century.
