Poet of the week (week 67) goes to our lovely +Bubbly B for her beautiful poem and continuous support of the POETS community and our wonderful members.
Fantastic use of poetic structure, syllable counting is so much fun and as can be seen with this piece it can produce some masterpieces. Beautiful imagery employing all the senses "petrichor" such a delightful word to describe that glorious smell of the rain!

summer
in sizzling heat
birds in green trees swaying
and singing sweet songs that beacon
fluffy clouds to imbue with pure water
twisting, rumbling, lightning, drizzling
soothe air with petrichor
birds fly high in
summer
