A Sonnet for the sea :
Upon my lofty crag with skyline blue
With gold there on the water shining glint
God's handiwork displayed in fulsome view
And sun so bright above it makes me squint .
While little clouds just slowly sail on by
Horizons mark the limit of my sight
Above me sea birds weal and shriek their cry
Aliferous my thoughts can now take flight .
But many feet below the breaking waves
On rocky shore the land and sea collide
Where turgid surf sends sailors to their graves
The power of the sea won’t be denied .
A parallax where sea and sky converge
where changing shades of azure mix and merge
