Poet of the week

Poet of the week

Happy Wednesday wonderful poets!

It is simply amazing how fast the days go past, and here we again, as always it is immensely difficult to choose just one of you as poet of the week...however, I have chosen... +Karine Fourdan Karine's poetry is a simple click away from being translated, and so worth the translation (just click the three dots guys and translation is hidden away in the list) Karine's poetry for me always offers the reader a point of engagement, the poems are realistic, questioning social situations and always thought provoking...thank you Karine for blessing us with your wonderful presence and poetry :)

REPULSION

On the buttocks I felt,
A rough hand that dirtied me.
This vicious aggression
Has passed the ban!

Drunk with rage, I hit,
On his hideous grimace!
A loan for a rendering,
With the punch, I fell.

No one to get up,
All eyes diverted ...
In this beautiful festive place,
Not one who rebels!

Vile disgust submerged,
I just got up ...
To see the big back turned,
Muffle already gone
Towards his filthy damned souls!

No words to exchange,
Just spitting contempt.

Special mentions

I have a great round up this week of superb special mentions...but first let me remind everyone how to yourself noticed and considered for the Poet of the week post

1. Interact and engage with your fellow poets. We here at POETS pride ourselves on the interactive environment we offer our members but ultimately we are only as good as you are willing to engage.

2. Write great poetry!

Different ways to ensure your poem is great are...make it fresh and diverse, avoid cliches, use vivid imagery - including similes, metaphors, figurative language, use consistent language, broaden your genres, themes, topics, forms and structures and perhaps most important is edit your poem before posting

3. Comply with the communities regulations, ensure your work has a copyright, ensure you correctly give credit to any artwork/images that are not your own, ensure you type in the poem when using a blog link/image/youtube video.
